Hello, my name is Alma and I am the Creator of Sugar Rush by Alma as well as the baker.

 

​I  have made quite a few cakes now and can definitely say that the girly, glitter, and glam cakes are definitely my favorite. I love the pinks and whites with hints of gold. I live for them! It’s amazing I’ve had enough business where I can actually choose a favorite type of cake to make! I look back and see how much I’ve already accomplished and I’m so proud, but I’m very excited for what the future holds for me.

 

My mom was the one who pushed me to establish an Instagram and post anything and everything I'd bake. Doing this built a small portfolio and ended up building clientele. When I think of "Sugar Rush by Alma" I think back to texting my friend who was so happy I was finally on socials that she sent me a list of about 40 potential business names. I knew I wanted Alma to be in the name to give it that personal touch. I immediately locked eyes with "Sugar Rush by Alma" and just knew that was it, I’m so thankful for that friend of mine.

I hope and aspire to open a store front, where my kids can have their first jobs and can one day carry on the family business. I’d definitely have my husband manage it since he has the business experience in it, I’d like to remain the whimsical dreamer who always goes above and beyond on the cakes she’s ordered. No matter where life takes me I hope to live a life where I pick up an offset spatula and ice a cake everyday.
